ITANAGAR, Feb 28: Are we ready to welcome railway in the state capital ? This thought
is lingering in the minds of every Arunachalee ever since Indian railway started
the work to connect Arunachal with rest of the country through Harmuti-
There are divided opinions regarding the rail connectivity to state capital. One section vehemently opposes the rail project stating that it will lead to large scale migration of mainland people into Arunachal.
“Itanagar will become another Dimapur. Infiltration and influx of outsider without ILP will lead to increase in crime rate,” shared a concern citizen in social networking site while participating in a debate about railway in Arunachal. Another citizen echoing his concern said, “To connect railway to Naharlagun or any place in capital complex is of no use. But places like Sarli/Limeking/Anini /Tawang needs railway connectivity for the benefits of our army and locals. If our Govt really targets for development in the state, let these place be connected with road and railway.”
The fear of large scale migration from mainland India into state is one big concern for the Arunachalees. “Look at Dimapur. The whole topography of area changed after introduction of railway and today; Naga has become minority in the city. ILP should be implemented at any cost in the railway project as Arunachal is the only indigenous land left in the corner of this country,” said a young citizen.
Another section who is voicing support for project believes that once capital is connected with railway, the state will witness massive development in the coming years. “I don't see any reason to fear from coming of railways. Railway will bring self employment opportunity like vendor, goods transportation, taxi operator etc. Above all the essential commodities and other necessary goods would be cheaply available in capital complex once railway starts service,” said a citizen supporting railway in the state.
Meanwhile North East Frontier Railway is targeting June month to start test runs
in the Naharlagun-
“The entire works is almost finished. Now we are only facing some technical problem in regards to construction of bridges over Dikrong and Bogoli River. But these issues will be sorted out soon,” said EE Sharma. On being asked about how railways are going to implement ILP system, he said it is upto state government to decide and they have no say in this regard.
When contacted, officials of state home department inform that they are yet to frame any policy about how to implement ILP system in railway. “The higher authorities, especially policymakers seem to least care about this issue. Honestly, we are yet to hear regarding any kind of policy being adopted in regards to railway. In fact only through media we are hearing that railway is coming soon to state and all,” told an official of home department on condition of anonymity.

Budget 2013: Rs 2,030 crore for development of North East region
Tuki hails Union Budget
NEW DELHI, Feb 28: The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region was today given an allocation of Rs 2,030 crore in the Union Budget, which is an increase of Rs 101 crore as against last year's outlay of Rs 1,929 crore.
The fund, an increase of around 5 per cent, has been given to the DoNER Ministry to implement various developmental schemes in the eight states of the region.
Though the Ministry was allocated Rs 1929 crore in 2012-

A separate allocation of Rs 948 crore has been made under grants from Central Pool of Resources for the region.
In the 2013-
A fund of Rs 45 crore has also been set aside for North Eastern States Road Investment Programme, while an amount of Rs 60 crore has been earmarked as loan to North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd which was set up to support infrastructure projects in the region. PTI
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has welcomed the Union Finance Minister’s Budget announcement of providing financial assistance from Multilateral Development Banks like the World Bank to build roads in the North Eastern Region and connecting it with Myanmar.
The Chief Minister observed that enhancing connectivity of the region with South East Asian countries in accordance with the Look East Policy of the Government of India would help boost border trade avenues for Arunachal Pradesh. He said this will help in paving the way for increase in export avenues to the optimum thereby generating revenue resources.
While terming the Budget as a balanced one in view of the present fiscal scenario, he said that the Budget has adequately addressed the concerns of the common man.

Congress emerged as the single largest party with 29 seats out of the total 60 bringing it back to power for a consecutive term.
Tuki, who had campaigned for the Congress in Meghalaya, expressed immense satisfaction over the results and termed it as a victory to be savored.
“This is the result of the collective efforts put in by all Congress workers and leaders. This is also the result of the good work put in by the Congress Government in Meghalaya in the preceding tenure and reposition of people’s faith on the party,” he said.
Centre sanctions addl. fund under IAY
NEW DELHI, Feb 28: Union Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned an additional amount of Rs 7.7 Crores under Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) scheme for Kurung Kurmey district that shares an international boundary with China.
This was informed by Union RD Minister Jairam Ramesh to Chief Minister Nabam Tuki during the course of a meeting here today.
This new sanction for 1764 additional houses is way above the normal allocation for the district, which is presently only 588 houses.
Ramesh also informed the Chief Minister that the Union Cabinet has recently cleared
a proposal to allow connectivity under PMGSY to 126 clusters of habitations of below
250 population in 10 international border districts of Arunachal Pradesh with a financial
outlay of Rs. 1200 Crores. The Chief Minister was also informed that the Ministry
of RD has sanctioned PMGSY proposals for Arunachal Pradesh amounting to Rs.847.45
Crore for 94 road works and 28 long-
The Chief Minister offered his gratitude to the Union Minister for giving special consideration to the state.
Tuki and Ramesh discussed in detail the various schemes under IAY, PMGSY, etc in the state.
It may be mentioned here that the IAY scheme for Puroiks has been extended to Kurung Kurmey and Papum Pare districts in addition to East Kameng, which was announced by the Union Minister during his recent visit to Bameng in East Kameng.
The target homes under IAY in the state are 8339 for which the first installment has been released.
Chief Minister Tuki has been continuously appealing for flexibility and special consideration for all Central Government Schemes in the state in view of the special challenges faced by the state in implementing these. The special allotments from the Ministry of RD have been done based on these concerns and appeals from the Chief Minister.
Ramesh reiterated his commitment to give special attention to the schemes of Arunachal Pradesh to a visibly happy Chief Minister.
Deadbody recovered from Sigin colony

DAPORIJO, Feb 28: Recovery of a body of a male person of age about 22 years from Sigin colony has once again sent a shock wave among the residents, who have not yet recovered from the recent devastating fire mishap.
Being informed, police recovered the body from a drain in Sigin Colony today. There were multiple cut injuries on the body. The deceased is identified as Vijay Ramsing of Taliha area. He was presently studying in BA.II year in Don Bosco College, Itanagar.
Police also recovered a cell phone and few amount from the deceased and kept them in their custody for investigation purpose. Later, the body was sent to hospital for post mortem.
Police registered a murder case against unknown person and swung into investigation to nab the culprit involved in the murder. Police detained two men on suspicion and started interrogating them.
Meanwhile, various organizations, including Bagang Abu Youth Welfare Society, Loksabha Youth Congress, Western Parliament and people from all sections of the society in Daporijo have vehemently condemned the brutal murder.
Loksabha Youth Congress, Western Parliament President Dikto Yekar while expressing grief and sorrow over the killing of the student, appealed to the youths of the district to come forward and fight against anti social element and cooperate with administration in maintaining law and order. ITANAGAR, Feb 28: In yet another major breakthrough the city Police under the supervision of the SP City Itanagar have busted a gang of motorcycle lifters and arrested five accused and recovered five stolen motorcycles from their possession.

The motorcycle lifters’ gang was busted after Tamuk Tai was caught red handed with a stolen bike yesterday.
During interrogation, he revealed the activity of the motorcycle theft gang which led to arrest of the co accused, who were found to be operating as an organized team.

During the search at the computer shop of accused Tagio Tata, numerous forged documents such as ST Certificates, PRC, School Leaving Certificates, Marksheets, Trading licenses, gun licenses, Identity Cards, Voter I cards, Birth Certificates, RC Books, Driving Licences etc. along with the seals of the Deputy Commissioners of various Districts of Arunachal Pradesh, including Capital Itanagar, EACs, Registrar of Death and Births, LRSO, DTO etc were seized from his shop.

The Bob Marley Festival to be held on 2nd March at Dree ground, Papu Nallah will have performance from some of the major bands of North East region. For the interest of the music lovers of state, here are the band profiles of some of the bands which are going to perform on the day.
Roots Reggae Band
One of the most popular Reggae band and is based at Shillong. Once in a year, group of musician friends from Shillong and the NE region get together to perform the music of the inspirational reggae legend, Bob Marley, at the annual tribute concerts which is usually held in Shillong either on the 6th of Feb or the 11th of May. This group of musicians go by the name “Roots Reggae Band”.
The founder and music director of the “Roots Reggae Band” is Keith Wallang, who through his event firm, Springboard Surprises, has been instrumental in popularising the music and message of Bob Marley through the annual Marley tribute concerts organized in Shillong for the past many years.
For the Marley fest in Itanagar this 2nd March, the “Roots Reggae Band” will comprise of some veterans of the NE music scene as well as Youngsters, giving a fresh vibe to the music being played. On vocals will be the beautiful and talented sisters ‘Elaine Wallang’ & ‘Andrea Tariang’ who have both sung with the “Roots Reggae Band” band and joining them is the exciting new kid on the Shillong music scene “Gino Thangkiew”. On guitars we have Berklee alumni ‘Amarnath Hazarika’ and up and coming blues player ‘Shepherd Naijiar’. The rhythm section features well known drummer ‘Sam Shullai’ & Bass player 'Jeff Laloo' previously of the Delhi band October and on keyboards is the young 'Pritam Boro' who is based out of Guwahati. Besides these mentioned musicians a couple of special friends of the “Roots Reggae Band” will be joining us in the celebration hereby adding a little more positive energy to this special occasion.

Tuki calls for speedy environment clearance for hydro projects
NEW DELHI, Feb 28: Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has strongly appealed for speedy Environment and Forest Clearances to take forward the Hydro Power Projects in the state.
Attending the 5th Meeting of the Task Force on Hydro Power Development here yesterday, he explained in detail the problems faced by developers due to the delay in Environment and Forest Clearances by Government of India.
Reiterating the state government’s priority to harness the Hydro Power potential in the State for the benefit of the country, Tuki elaborated on a consensual approach towards resolving pending issues related to land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement in addition to the clearances. He also stressed on proper basin studies with special reference to Siang and Subansiri and mooted steps to follow the recommendations of Inter – Ministerial BK Chaturvedi Committee regarding the sharing of Hydrological Data by CWC and Brahmaputra Board with Developers, Single Window Clearances, etc.

State BJP chief recalls contribution of Siang Valley in state development
ITANAGAR, Feb. 27: The immense contribution of Siang Valley towards the growth and development of Arunachal Pradesh remains unforgettable, said Arunachal Pradesh unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Tai Tagak.
Addressing his first party rally at Kamba in West Siang district yesterday, Tagak said that first generation leaders like Late Dr. Daying Ering, Todak Basar, Tomo Riba were born in Siang Valley and they remain source of inspiration for younger generation. Siang Valley has also produced many educationists, technocrats, bureaucrats, social and cultural reformers, philanthropists and leaders etc. many of whom are rendering their services to the motherland.
The BJP State President also informed that the first MLA on BJP ticket was elected from Liromoba Assembly seat way back in 1984. Acknowledging the democratic sensitivity, sacrifices and voluntary support of the people towards BJP, Tagak appealed to the people to renew their support to the saffron party for a change.

He also held a brain storming discussion with the BJP district unit and visited the district BJP office in Aalo on the same evening. West Siang District BJP unit President Kamdok Loya informed of various activities of the district unit and he also formally felicitated Tagak for being appointed as Satet BJP president.
On way to attend the party rally in Kamba on February 26, the state BJP President offered floral tribute to Rutom Kamgo at his memorial at Opo village and saluted the brave son of the soil, who was one of his close colleagues and worked together with him in various social and cultural fields for many years.
Rutom died in Dhemaji of Assam in 2011 in a tragic road accident. The State BJP President also visited the family members and relatives and interacted with them and recalled the contributions and sacrifices of Rutom in the national services.

1st N E India Mt. Everest Expedition team felicitated at Bomdila
ITANAGAR, Feb 28: The first NE India Mt. Everest Expedition 2013 team members were felicitated in a function organized by Arunachal Mountaineering & Adventure Sports Association (AMASA). It was followed by ‘Serkem’ puja at Thubchog Gatseling Gompa Bomdila for the successful completion of the expedition.
The expedition team comprising 16 climbers-
RT Khunjuju Parliamentary Secretary HPD presented mementoes and khadas to all the mountaineers. He praised them for their guts in attempting to climb the world’s highest peak Mt Everest. He also advised the team leader to take utmost care and ensure safety of all the climbers. Deputy Commissioner Rinchin Tashi hosted breakfast in honor of team members.
Tsering Wange, President AMASA extended a hearty welcome to all the selected mountaineers who will undergo a rigorous physical conditioning and high altitude meditation training from March 1 to 10 at Tawang.
It may be recalled that Arunachal Pradesh was selected from the five shortlisted states of Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Himachal and J&K for this high altitude training programme.
Six trainers from Sports Wing, Brahma Kumaris Mt Abu coordinated by BK Ramswarup Mall, BK Jagbir Singh and Dr B Tanreja will start imparting training from tomorrow. Their team had earlier trained several renowned sports personalities, including Indian contingent for Beijing Olympics.
Department of Tourism Govt of Arunachal Pradesh has extended support in organising the team's body conditioning cum meditation training programme in the state.
Arunachal Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, the patron of the expedition, has also conveyed his best wishes to the expedition team.
The first leg of the expedition was flagged off by Governor of Manipur Gurbachan Jagat on February 25at Imphal. The final leg of the expedtion will be flagged off by President Pranab Mukherjee from Rastrapati Bhavan New Delhi on March 20.
PMEGP review meeting held at Daporijo
ITANAGAR, Feb 28: Arunachal Pradesh Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) Vice Chairman Bado Singhi has been on a tour across the State holding review meetings in the districts for effective and faster implementation of the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), a flagship programme of the Ministry of MSME, GOI.
While reviewing the implementation of PMEGP in Upper Subansiri district in a meeting with Deputy Commissioner T Taggu and SBI local branch officials and others, Bado emphasized on the need of effective and faster implementation of the scheme in a balanced way in whole state of Arunachal Pradesh. He requested the DC, who is also the Chairman of the District Level Task Force Committee on implementation of PMEGP, for making it compulsory for the beneficiaries for erection and display of Sign Board prominently in their industrial premises to increase the visibilities of the units set up under the scheme. Bado also requested the Bank officials to see that numbers of installments in releasing the financial assistances / loan are less as far as practicable and gaps in release of subsequent installments are also not lingered inappreciably as this consumes valuable time in grounding of projects. This may also hamper to the enthusiasm of the entrepreneurs, he observed.
While appreciating the suggestions of the Vice Chairman, the deputy commissioner requested for enhancement of targets for the district in the next financial year. The SBI representatives however narrated some of their difficulties in financing units. Bado, in pursuance to the guidelines of the Govt, of India and the RBI on the subject, however, clarified how it is mandatory on the part of all nationalized banks to extend credit support to this programme.
The Vice Chairman is also likely to hold meeting at Ziro on March 02 with the DC and other concerned officials there.

GBs are the eyes and ears to District Administration
ZIRO, Feb 28: ‘Senior Gaon Burahs (GBs) should guide newly inducted GBs of the village for proper discharging of duties and lead them to right direction’, said Lower Subansiri deputy commissioner Taru Talo today while attending 4th foundation day of Apatani Gaon Burah Welfare Association (AGBWA), Ziro at the office premises of GB near district judicial court.
Talo stressed upon proper functioning system and use of the powers of the GBs as they can even arrest the culprit in their respective village and hand them over to police and as lawyer, he can also settle cases of petty nature before it is brought to the police station or judiciary for legal action.
Observing that GBs are the eyes and ears of the district administration, he said that the DC of the district alone cannot do everything without the help of GBs who are the part and partial of administration.
While responding to the two point’s verbal memorandum put before him, Talo assured
to prepare a scheme in consultation with the officers who earlier prepared one and
submitted to the Guahati High Court for construction of GB’s Multipurpose Hall in

Lower Subansiri superintendent of police PN Khirme compared that the GB institution is as old as British era which is much older than State police who came into existence only in 1972.
Observing that in some parts of the State the politics has already penetrated into the institution of GB and interfered in the appointment by favouring the person who supports him in election, he said that such appointment affect the institution badly where the deserving persons are rejected. To keep up earlier pride of GB institution, he cautioned GBs to keep away from politics and remain neutral in panchayat election which is approaching very near. If any body found involved in politics, the DC has the right to terminate them from the post, he added.
Observing further that land case is very common in Ziro which originated mostly from village level, he suggested GBs to settle the cases in village level because they know the matter better than the police.
Attending as special invitee, Nani Sambyo, DSO (Statistic) suggested GBs to wear red coat while attending any meeting for their identity. He assured to donate one table for their office.
Hari ZPM, Hage Yasung in her speech suggested GBs to take up cases without any favoritism so as to keep the image and pride of the GB institution.

ITANAGAR, Feb 28: Nyokum Yullo was celebrated at Toru circle on February 26 with great enthusiasm.
Attending festival as chief guest, National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) Director Bida Gida suggested the youths of the Nyishi community to protect and promote age old culture and traditions. He said that “Nyokum Yullo is the festival of Nyishi community but whole people of Arunachal Pradesh enjoy it as their own festival which signifies the unity in diversity.
In her welcome address, Nabam Aka, ZPM chairperson and Chairman of Toru Circle Nyokum Yullo Celebration Committee (TCNYCC) said that the main objective of Nyokum Yullo celebration at Toru circle was to make our people aware about the rich cultural heritage of the community as well as showcase it to the outside world. Meanwhile, she urged every one to avoid wearing costly ornaments during the Nyokum celebration since it is the festival for all irrespective of rich and poor.

Various cultural and games and sport competitions were organized as part of the celebration.
Volleyball men’s title was won by Laptap Panchayat while the Mepsoro Panchayat won the women’s title.
Fourteen men and 11 women teams participated in the competition.
Taba Ama was adjudged as Miss Nyokum Yullo while Teri Mecha and Tana Mama became first runner up and second runners up respectively.
Tana Nigam was adjudged as Mr Nyokum Yullo 2013. Tana Sera and and Nabam Taga bagged the first runners up and second runners up prizes.
The prizes for Mr and Miss Nyokum were sponsored by Nabam Yani.
Kambo Pago, Horticulture development Officer, Nich Teli, JE, WRD, AE PWD, Tana Nido, ASM Toru Pnachayat, Gollo Tukia, ASM Ompuli Panchayat, Taba Mem, ASM Kheel Panchayat, Nabam Tagam, social worker, general public and students were present on the occasion.
Nyokum, the major agriculture based festival of Nyishi community was also celebrated at Sapthagiri area, Bangalore.
Clad in traditional attires, the Nyishis girls and boys and others irrespective of caste, creed and religious joined the celebration with great enthusiasm.
Apart from rituals, excluding mithun sacrifice at the Nyokum altar, mega dance – Rikam Pada were displayed by the boys and girls.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, caretaker of Acharya Institutions and of North East Students RK Gowda advised the students to study hard and to concentrate on their studies to fulfill the their parent’s expectation of success.
DADC sponsored bandh passes off peacefully

The first phase of the bandh was called by the committee to protest against the declared public hearing to be held for Dibang Multipurpose Project on March 11 in Roing and March 13 in New Anaya.
All vehicles plying towards Roing district headquarters was grounded for the day with no vehicular movements on the highway.
The DADC committee led by Kamin Pertin, President, DADC and Martin Lego, Secretary, DADC, has expressed its total opposition to the two public hearings.
The bandh was called in protest of the failure of the state government to commit to their demands as promised by late Dorjee Khandu, former Chief Minister.
In a representation submitted earlier to the Roing Deputy Commissioner Shiv Kumar on Monday, the committee said that the former chief minister in a meeting held on August 28, 2008 with anti dam groups of Dibang districts had promised to depute an assessment team for study of the downstream impacts.
The committee has called for total boycott of the public hearing, and said it will continue their phase wise protest till the demands are met.

Someone starts rolling on the snow, sometime tries to fly around the blue canopy of the sky and few transform into statue of wonder and says “now I can touch my feelings, it is Tawang, the museum of magic in Arunachal”.

It is truly witnessed; this land evokes images of awesome mountain views, remote hamlets, and sleepy villages, magical Gompas, rugged hills, snow clad peaks, roaring waterfalls, tranquil lakes and what not.
We are always blindly swollen with pride to this tourist hot spot of the state. But praising and creating many adjectives is just the one side. But the other side of Tawang is truly suffering today as it is encountering many unavoidable problems. From authority to the periphery people, nobody has a collective and progressive consideration to this darker side.

The reason behind the decreasing of tourist flow is quite reserved. The ‘Tourist
Lodge’ run by the Dept. of Tourism, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh includes poorly 12
staffs – a DTO, one driver, two cookmen, four chaukidar, and rest are clerical staffs.
The gentle justification of the DTO was as such “We have no Tourist Information Officer
(TIO) and Tourist Guide (TG) so far. Information, management and all sorts of hospitality
in the Lodge with a capacity of 30 rooms is solely run by me. There are 15 registered
Tour Operator (TO) under this Dept., but the pitiable gossip is that only two are

There are other problems which resulted in decreasing tourist flow in Tawang. Let us notice the observation made by Tenzin Zambe, the Circle Officer (CO), GA/Prot., Tawang on 23rd of Feb. “There are certain reasons for lessening the numbers of tourist flow presently. These may be due to very poor communication facilities. Earlier, helicopter service was made available to receive maximum number of tourists. Now the copter service is not available for last few years. For a better road transport facilities, we had written to the Defense Secretary, Govt. of India and they assured to look into the grievances by the end of 2013. For reintroduction of helicopter service, we had a discussion with the Parliamentary Secretary, Civil Aviation and as a result there were a tender although very lately”.
Despite scenic beauty, these are the unavoidable situations that comes on the way of development, particularly tourism in Tawang. Tourism could always be the high income generating industry of the Monpas with less investment.
Tawang, a strategically important district near China border needs constant attention of the media. We need a strong presence of the state media in Tawang but unfortuantely no news papers of the state reach Tawang.
Taran Das, a bookstall owner at Nehru Market, Tawang said, “if we will subscribe newspapers, it takes 4 to 5 days to reach Tawang. During summer, it takes more days. People habitually avoid reading news papers”.
Should we consider Tawang a remotest corner of the state or from the nation from all developmental perspective? Let us live together with Tawang sharing all innovations, knowledge and wisdom of the world communicating with a better road and providing a new tourist attraction to explore the paradise. Nyokum celebrated at Mengio
ITANAGAR, Feb 28: The people of Mengio celebrated the Nyokum with traditional fervor and gaiety at general ground Mengio (Sakiang) on February 24.
Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, Chief Minister Nabam Tuki emphasized on the need to harness the youth energy and channelize it in the right direction. CCTWA office inaugurated

India’s reptiles threatened with extinction
In a recent study the Zoological Society of London and the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) species survival commission found that upto 19 per cent of the world's crocodiles, turtles, snakes, lizards, and other reptiles are threatened with extinction. Many species from India are under threat as well just as one in five of the world's 10,000 species of reptiles. Overall, the study estimated that 30 per cent of freshwater reptiles are close to extinction.

This was the largest study of its kind on the condition of the world's reptiles. One thousand five hundred species were studied and 112 species were from India, of which 12.2 per cent are threatened with extinction. Additionally there is not sufficient data for 27 per cent of our reptiles to make an informed decision on their status.
The study, printed in the journal of Biological Conservation, is the first of its kind summarising the global conservation status of reptiles. More than 200 world renowned experts assessed the extinction risk of 1,500 randomly selected reptiles from across the globe.
Yitor village still waiting for development
Dear Editor,
Through your esteem would like to share few things regarding rural village. Yitor village is one of the most underdeveloped villages of Arunachal Pradesh. The fundamental reason behind the backwardness is the continuous negligence by our tall promising elected leaders. My mind is still very fresh about the unforgettable memory of all the suffering that we bore in order to educate ourselves due to absence of a learning temple. We had to walk at least ten km a day to attend our class in a nearby village despite hilly and sloppy terrain. It is sad to learn that our younger generation is compelled to face all the hardship that we coped. Even a primary school is not established yet. Not every parent can afford expensive modern private school, though they know the essence, importance and value of education for their children in these cut throat competition era. It is disheartening and demoralizing to sense that the future of our children on whom we will be depending tomorrow is bleak and dark.
The problem of education is seconded by the lack of road connectivity. There is no
proper route which connects Yitor with other human occupied places. It has become
cut off village. Without road network, it is also very difficult for any other developmental
activities to take place appropriately. In actuality, land of Yitor is nature’s gift
in the sense that huge economic resources can be generated from its forests, rivers,
etc. The fertility of the soil has ample capacity to provide immense income oriented
economic activities. These produces can’t reach the market due to lack of transportation
facilities. Hence our economic advancement is harshly weakened. As a matter of fact,
during medical emergencies lots of problems crops up due to lack of transportation.
In addition, educated youths of our village can’t find a place for themselves in
departmental jobs. Because it’s a well known fact that entry into government job
requires enormous financial support or very strong political background. And practically,
we lack in both. There are still many untold, some unheard, few denied and neglected
essential development stories. Lots of things were expected from our Panchayat leaders
that they would listen to our words. But it is very unfortunate that our elected
Panchayat leaders did not fulfilled any expectations and some of them even improperly
utilized powers and functions vested to them by the constitution. Not even a visit
or tour was conducted. So, it is firmly requested to all our panchayat leaders to
play proactive role and fight for the society. As Yitor village falls under the 25th
Raga S/T Assembly Constituency, I feel free to say that it is binding public duty
of our local Legislator-
